- 2nd Himalayan Photography Competition - 2012

In continuation with the traditions of the IMISMDS1 it is proposed to once again host an Indian Himalayan Photography Competition along with a Poster Exhibition of NGOs and other developmental agencies as side events. IMISMDS2 is proud to own and run the 2nd Indian Himalayan Photography Competition. It is focused on showcasing the unique natural and cultural heritage of the bioregion of the Indian Mountain states.
The Competition highlighted the salient features of the Indian Himalayan Region and it is envisaged that the initiative would also lead to the formation of photography network across the eleven Indian Hill States. The details of the 2nd Indian Himalayan Photography Competitions are as follows:
- Panel of Judges
- Mr. Arthur Pazo, International Photographer,
- Mr. Pankaj Thapa, Professor, Sikkim Government College,
- Mr. Praful Rao, International Photographer and Environmentalist, and
- Mr. Passang Dorjee, Artist and textile designer
- Awards and Certification in Each Section
- 1st Award Rs 50,000
- 2nd Award Rs 30,000
- 2 Consolation Prize Rs 10,000 each
