With financial support from the Ford Foundation from 1986 to 1997 in
three phases, enabled CHEA to evolve a method for eco-development in
minor Khulgad catchment of Kosi river in Almora district of Uttaranchal
on central them of integrated development with people's participation.
This was followed by a liberal corpus grant by the Ford Foundation to
replicate the development experiment or module in other areas and to
sustain field laboratory in Khulgad catchment.
